Farmers, families and foodie-fanatics pitched up at our first Food Fare to celebrate local suppliers and businesses who champion some of the county’s finest local produce.
We welcomed over 2000 food-lovers to our mouth-watering foodie festival where families met the faces behind local businesses and indulged in delicious food and drink.
Supporting local business and being the beating heart of the community is really important to our ethos. We wanted to bring together local traders to recognise their selfless contribution to Hampshire communities.
Visitors soaked up the glorious sunshines while listening to live music from The Whispers, explored the farm on tractor trail rides and gave welly-wanging their best shot.
We fired up the barbie with meat straight from the butchery to the grill offering delicious burgers, sausages and greek kebabs. We also had homegrown strawberries and cream, and Portsmouth Distillery brought a pop-up gin bar.
Graham added: “It was a fantastic day with lots of sunshine and smiling faces. The local suppliers saw a huge amount of trade and it was great for us to see regular and new customers in the farm shop.
“The range of food for visitors to choose from was amazing and The Whispers put on a brilliant performance. We can’t wait for the next Food Fare.
