New life on the farm
It’s official, lambing season is here, and the first of our spring lambs has been born!
This is a very special time of year, and it’s a reminder of why we do what we do. If you would like to meet the lambs, there are still tickets available for our Lambing Days on 9th-12th April.
Come and meet our newest arrivals, watch them find their feet, and get a glimpse into springtime on the farm. It’s one of our favourite events of the year, and we’d love to see you there.

Soft fruit season coming soon…
The countdown to strawberries and raspberries has begun! The plants are thriving in the glasshouses, and it won’t be long before we will be picking the fresh berries in the sunshine.
But behind the scenes, there’s some seriously clever technology helping us grow them sustainably.
Three years ago, we installed a Soil Moisture Sense system to support our soft fruit production. It allows us to irrigate our strawberries and raspberries accurately and give them exactly what they need without wasting a drop of water.
The sensors monitor the water content of each plant’s pot in real-time. Water is then delivered directly to the roots through a precision drip irrigation system to avoid wasting water. The system also monitors air temperature, humidity, and how much water the plants are actually taking up. We want to make sure they are growing in optimal conditions with minimal waste.

What’s in season
Spring produce is hitting the shelves! Eating seasonally means enjoying produce at its absolute peak, and supporting local growers while you’re at it.
Homegrown Rhubarb – Our rhubarb is looking absolutely beautiful right now. Tart, vibrant, and perfect for crumbles, pies, or pairing with strawberries (when they arrive!). It’s only at its best for a short window, so make the most of it while you can.
Asparagus from Sussex – British asparagus season has arrived! We’re stocking gorgeous spears from Sussex, and they’ll only be around for about eight weeks. Griddle them with butter and sea salt, wrap them in bacon or toss them through pasta.
Pop in and stock up before the season moves on!
