We marked National Baking Week with a celebration of home baking, welcoming Hampshire Chronicle editor Kimberley Barber and Natasha Dochniak, Commercial Manager at Hampshire Fare, to our Winchester shop.
Kayleigh showcased her baking skills for the occasion, creating homemade treats that were sampled by the guests. The gathering provided an opportunity to discuss the vital role independent shops play in keeping Winchester’s high street vibrant and connected to the local community.
National Baking Week is a nationwide celebration encouraging people across the UK to get creative in the kitchen and champion home baking – values that align closely with our commitment to local, quality produce.
We stock products from over 40 Hampshire producers, keeping money in the local economy and providing customers with traceable, quality ingredients from the Isle of Wight to the New Forest.
National Baking Week is the perfect time to celebrate what we do at Westlands – bringing quality local ingredients to our community and encouraging people to create wonderful things in their kitchens.
We were delighted to welcome Kimberley and Natasha to discuss the importance of independent high street shops like ours. These conversations matter because local businesses are the heartbeat of our community, and it means so much to have support from people who share our passion for local food and producers.
